Stay & Adopt a Stray
The stray cat population in our street has lately been growing. Our staff, our guests and many of our neighbours feed them, but their situation remains precarious. They do not have medical support and live in constant danger from passing cars, the weather, their fights and their pregnancies. Sadly, local authorities have very limited means to assist them and local animal welfare organisations are overstretched.
As a consequence, we have been feeding abandoned kittens and liaising with local authorities and vets to register and provide basic health care to them. For some we even found a home! A whole litter born inside a pot in our garden found a home in Sykia; two brothers were adopted in the village of Thalero and two more traveled with a family of guests to Luxembourg. The latest one we adopted here at the hotel.
Chances are that if you have planned to stay with us in the beginning of the summer or in autumn there will be new kittens roaming around. Would you like to adopt one? If yes, contact us!
