Archeology and history-oriented family friendly tour in Olympia!
Description
There is no better place than Ancient Olympia to get acquainted with the work of archaeologists. Visit the archaeological site with a licensed tour guide experienced in very young kids in a private tour and explore the birthplace of the Ancient Olympic Games in the family friendliest way.
Continue with …digging! An educational hands-on archaeological experience, where all the family members have the chance to become real archaeologists and excavate a house of the 5th century B.C., the Ancient Gymnasium and an impressive Roman bath with mosaics!
You will start your journey through time with a short conversation with the archaeologist about archaeology, human past and the excavation practice. Then, you will take your trowel, start digging and learn how to uncover and record the artefacts. Afterwards, you will continue to the conservation lab where you will have the chance to do some conservation work with the conservator or watch a short presentation about Olympia, the Olympic Games, Greek mythology and many more topics.
