Fonissa Gorge<\/a> I was more than eager to follow. Nikos is an experienced mountain leader and knew a little about the Fonissa Gorge from fellow canyoneers, so off he went in the early morning to explore the gorge and see if it was fit for the rest of us to follow later on. He went, he explored and came back firm in his conviction that we could penetrate it, even with children. The entance to the gorge is very near Daphne’s Club, roughly 15 minutes by car. From there we went walking and climbing for roughly 3 hours. There was water in some places and small pools in others, there were slippery rocks and dark passages and at the end of it all a small waterfall.<\/p>\n
